At Grace Dunedin we are committed to a presbyterian leadership, where our pastors are also elders.
We have several pastoral teaching positions, as well as deacons that function together to provide leadership to our church.
Azriel serves as the family pastor at GBC.
He is married to Melissa & they have 3 sons. Azriel likes riding motorbikes, mountain bikes & tinkering with projects in his garage.
Melissa enjoys working with food and providing hospitality, board games & playing the piano.
Ben serves as a pastor at GBC.
He is married to Laura and they have three daughters and one son.
Stuart serves as an elder. Since 1990 he has been variously involved in campus ministry, local church preaching and theological education in systematic and biblical theology. Since acute illness in 2017 Stuart works behind the scenes in staff training, leadership & pastoral care. Formerly of Sydney, he has a PhD (UNSW) in history, and supports the NZ cricket and St. George Rugby League teams. He is married to Gail, and they have three children.
Gail serves on the Pastoral Care team and co-ordinates a morning ladies Bible study. She is also the Grace House Administrator. Gail enjoys spending time with people, reading, and taking time to delight in God's creation.
Caleb and Alison Gray have been involved with Grace since its early days. Caleb loves anything and everything mechanical and technical.
Alison enjoys gardening and reading when time allows, and helps with the administration at Grace. Their three children bring variety and fun to life. They are thankful for God's all-sufficient grace, and that Jesus offers hope for a broken world.
Bill works as a technology teacher at Tahuna Intermediate and especially enjoys teaching Robotics and Electronics.
Karen works as the administrator at Liberton Christian School and volunteers at Red Cross working with former refugee families.
We both appreciate the blessing of growing up in Christian families. We have been married for nearly 30 years and have four grown children and two grandchildren. We enjoy hosting a homegroup on Wednesday evenings during school term time and facilitate the beginning stages of Church membership. God’s grace, love and mercy continue to challenge and grow our lives.
Neville is married to Jan, and they have two adult children. He enjoys fishing, and the outdoors in general. He is a collector, creator and player of Bass Guitars and can regularly be found up the front as part of our music team.
Jan works as an in-school educator for St John, and also contributes a lot of enthusiasm and energy towards various areas of church life - particularly kids ministry.
David and Kristy Richards lead the University Ministry of the church, Engage Otago. David trained as a teacher and after two years of teaching he has been serving in University ministry since 2005.
Kristy is a trained occupational therapist who loves to spend time with women of all ages in deep conversation. She also works part time at one of the local primary schools running a gross motor program.
Ben is married to Mel and they have two daughters.
Bruce & Alison have attended GBC since 2008 after moving from a farm in the Catlins. Bruce is a deacon, helping out as church treasurer and the music team, while Alison helps out as a sunday school teacher.
They have three grown sons and now get the pleasure of visiting their four grandchildren. Bruce works for Ballance Agri-Nutrients as a storeman & enjoys reading in his spare time. Alison spends a lot of time in the garden and doing crafts.
Russell is married to Catherine, and they have four adult children, as well as grandchildren. Russell is a Technology teacher at a local High School. He loves cars, motorbikes and being involved at Christian Youth Camps. Russell is one of our deacons and together they serve our church in a wide variety of ways.
Kenneth & Jane Gibbs
Josh is married to Megan and has two young girls. He moved to Dunedin in 2013 and married Megan a couple years later. He works as a firefighter. Josh is a deacon and is involved with the firewood ministry. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with the family, travelling and getting into the outdoors for a hunt.
Megan moved to Dunedin in 2013 from the USA to work with Engage (the student ministry). She has since stepped back from full time student ministry so she can care for her and Josh’s 2 young daughters. She is active in the women’s ministry and enjoys spending time with people. She enjoys crafts, reading and going for adventures.
